Reviving Relationships

This shall be my resolution:

Every week starting from this week, I shall talk to at least 1 other person on my contact list that I have lost contact with for a year.
Most likely I shall accomplish this via Facebook.

No matter the topic, I shall at least talk to him/her.
I have spent so much effort then to start a relationship, why let it fade away?

Even if the said person does not continue with the chat, or stop contacting me, at least I have done my part!

  1. because just because the time you have spent with the person is over, it doesnt mean its effect doesnt live on in your life

  2. Even if the person leaves an effect on me, I am not sure if I have left an effect on the person.

It is quite painful to know that you were so close to this person and suddenly he/she can just walk out of you simply like that just because you didn't maintain contact.

    Too many people like that.

  3. Agree, it's like a cycle though - busy periods, holidays, busy periods, holidays

  4. Hence the need to maintain contact! Because of the busy period we might forget about our friends even during the holidays.

  5. Hmm sometimes it's not that people simply walk out of your life, everyone's busy with their own life and barely have enough time to keep up with the work they have.

I guess it takes time and effort to preserve a friendship, but both sides must be willing.
