For every lead character, there has to be the supporting cas
For every singer, there has to be the band
For every captain, there has to be the crew

For every loved, there has to be the lover
For every clique, there has to be the left out
For every friend, there has to be another ignored

For every best, there has to be the second
For every champion, there has to be the defeated

For every pretty, there has to be the ugly
For every popular, there has to be the crowd
For every rich, there has to be the poor

For every leader, there has to be a follower

All of us has our place in society, all that makes you whether you are happy in your situation is whether you accept the situation you are in. All these are simply a matter of relativity.
If you do not like to be the "crowd", then find ways to get out of it.
But sometimes it is also about resigning to your fate, because mere attempts do not get you there, sometimes you just lost your window of opportunity.
