Meaning of life?

What is the meaning of life. Question yourself this.

Yes, you have read books like, "Tuesdays with Morrie", "5 people you will meet in heaven". You hear life snippets on Newsradio 93.8FM "A Slice of Life". You attend talks. You hear podcasts.
(How did I know about all those? Cuz I have read them myself)

However, how many of you have actually reflected? How many of you have actually changed?
For those who have changed, congratulations, you have attained self-actualisation and self-enlightenment.

For me, I am not. I know for that few minutes whilst absorbing those "inspiration" materials I feel at ease, enlightened, self-aware, but once I put down the book, its back to the hectic day-to-day schedule of school.

Why must life be this way?
Why is the world so hectic?
Why must there be struggles here and there?

All thanks to the human nature. Yes, human nature.

I am sure most of you are like me. Or rather, you are forced to face life in this manner. For those who have reached self-actualisation, most of them, if not all, actually have enough to keep them going until their end point. The rest however, are forced to face life, because we do not have enough to keep us going!

Like me, I got no money, no income. I am a student. Reading all these books, so? so? so? After I read them, I have to plunge back into this eternal grip of schooling, homework and projects.
Let's say I remove projects, since I have the choice of taking them up or not.
But for school? Do I have a choice?

You can say I can skip school, but hell no. We need schooling just to get the job we want. That's the sad thing isnt it? I can skip my homework, but hell no. We need homework, to get the grades we need just to get the job we want. So.. how? HOW ? I agree that schooling and grades will ensure "top quality" job-seekers, however, isnt the schooling just a little wee too much?
Daily, 7am to 2.30pm, sometimes even dragging on to 5pm. Life?

Let's carry on for adults.
Everyday, 7am to 5pm. The daily work schedule. Yes. Everyday the routine goes like this
Sleep > Eat > Work > Eat > Sleep
Other than weekends. You call that life? Unless you are so passionate for the job, then I must congratulate you. But how many really find this life?

I know this might be a rather sudden and random post (this is what my blog is about), but ask yourself:
What is the meaning of life? Merely just to get up the corporate ladder? Merely just to get good grades?
