oh god..
watched the last episode of "Planet Earth" yesterday.
Its a weekly documentary, Every Wednesday 10.00pm on Arts Central ... and as the name goes, it tells you about Planet Earth and her wondrous, amazing, meticulous wildlife.
Yet I wonder, are we humans a bit too much?
Looking at all the magnificent wildlife, flora and fauna, breathtaking landscape, I cannot just sit there and stare fish-eyed in awe. It was just brilliant and beautiful. Maybe "beautiful" undermines the intricate ecology behind every ecosystem that they showed.
Animals, simple animals.. are able to survive in the harshest environment, living off what we deem as poison. Animals also work together, cooperate, in order to fight, or flight.
Yet why is there still this discrepancy between them and us?
We are just evolved forms, able to comprehend what we know as "languages". Yet other animals.. they do communicate, but in the series of squeaks, and other incomprehensible "language" exclusive to them.
Yet, we are taking this world like our own. Look around you, problems here.. day and night. Pollution, over-fishing, deforestation.
Countries sign pacts, go for meetings, agree over issues in general talks.. yet.. is anything done?
But still .. the human race will never understand, nor learn, not want to change. Its all part of evolution, human greed. Unlike predators.. whom once they finish their lunch, do not eat anymore... but us?
think again .. are we so called "sentient beings" ?
P.S. there's another documentary soon .. also same time slot.. If I rmb it comes out in July.. called In the Undergrowth ..
