1st week of holidays devoted to slacking

just came back (or rather 4 hrs ago) from teaching Primary 5/6 examination skills.
hah a rather lively bunch =)
although there were still some black sheep (like me :p, sleeping in class), but the rest were generally active. . =D

after the whole thing.. I was teaching mathematics skills... things like Mental Sums, patterns etc.
I also showed them the lewt method to solve the very classic "Heads and Legs in a farm" question, by using assumption. I think you might know a bit about it haha.

THEN...
At the end of the whole thing
then this Primary 6 came up to me and asked me this:

" There were 80 people and 85 plates shared. 3 Children shared one plate, and 1 adult ate 2 plates. So how many adults and children were there? "

and he added

" How do i go about this using the assumption method? " .

LOL LOL LOL LOL ... you know what
.. the 4 of us were like freaking STUMPED? Sec 4 stumped by this Question? o.O
we used algebra lol lol . but its not what he wanted... .. but then after a while...

so much for being Sec 4s.... and yu know what.. it came out in Primary 5 Exams O_O !!!
